Nova Scotia seniors are being reminded not to sell their drugs to strangers.
Cumberland District RCMP say they’ve been getting reports of people approaching seniors and offering money and groceries in exchange for their medications.
“This activity can be very dangerous to a person’s health,” says a police news release. “Medication prescribed to an individual should not be used by others. A person could be potentially charged for trafficking drugs.”
Investigators are asking for anyone else who has information about similar cases to report it to police or Crime Stoppers.
